X:Men Destiny releases today in game stores all over North America for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS consoles! The game was developed by Silicon Knights and published by Activision. In the game, players are put in the role of new mutants who join the X-Men or the Brotherhood of Mutants; and they have to make choices to decide the ultimate destiny of their character. Very exciting news - I have recently been brought on as an in-house sound designer for world renown game developer Silicon Knights. I started at their studio in St. Catharines last month, and it has been an amazing time! I am on the audio team - working on the Marvel game “X-Men: Destiny,” which has a planned release for September 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii.
This month, the Niagara Economic Development Corporation launched a video series promoting prosperity and growth in the Niagara Region. I composed the tracks behind their video campaign. You can view the videos here, produced by Fourgrounds Media. I have also launched my YouTube Channel, along with plenty of music listen to. I’ll be updating my Channel frequently as I score new projects.
My next project is scoring and designing sound for the short film, “Right Lane Must Exit”, a psychological drama that follows the course of two people in a relationship, in which what appears to be real may only be an illusion. The title of the film signifies how one cannot avoid the inevitable. The project is now in its post-production stage, and intends to run the festival circuit starting this summer! Arctic Empire’s next iDevice title, “Galaxy Express” will be entering our atmosphere very shortly. Keep up with its status here. You’ll be able to purchase it from the iTunes Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Galaxy Express is a unique space puzzle game, in which you play a delivery boy hired to save the galaxy, one shipment at a time! My latest project is designing all the sound and audio work for award-winning filmmaker Jared Pelletier’s much anticipated WWII epic, “In The Hearts Of Men.” Current release is set for this Spring, and it will run the festival circuit. My tasks involve creating authentic World War II weapon and aircraft sound effects, as well as mixing in a 5.1 Surround environment. This is a huge undertaking and a very exciting film to be a part of! Check out the trailer to the film here.

I’ve updated the Portfolio page with an advertising spot that I was involved with. “Scanner Symphony” is a spot for Toyota/Scion. I contributed to the recording, mixing, and sound design of this commercial, and it turned out really fantastic. Another project I was involved with included the ad campaign for “The Printing House,” a digital color printing service house based in Toronto. More to come.
Updated the website today with a much sleeker appearance. The new sidebar includes several ways to contact and follow me across the world wide web. In other news, I’ve recently completed the music and sound design for Arctic Empire’s social networking game, “ChaChing” - a Facebook application game in which you try to own and operate your own successful business. It is expected to release in 2011!
